Here is a report from each of us:
Roger: Roger is still involved in ham radio. Right now, he is designing and writing software in C# which he uses in a ham radio activity called the "Frequency Measurement Test". The purpose of the test is to determine the frequency of several test stations (whose frequency is announced ahead of time to an accuracy of 1KHz) to an accuracy of 0.2Hz. The software uses the sound card on his computer to digitize the audio from his ham receiver. Then the software takes this digitized audio waverform and builds a spectrum array using an algorithm called the Fast Fourier Transform. The software looks at the spectral array to determine the frequency of the peak signal. Roger is the Vice President of the Oklahoma DX Association which is a group of hams who talk to as many countries as possible on the radio. Roger continues to teach a weekly Bible study at First Southern Baptist Church, Del City OK.
Donna: Donna is the "de-facto" family archivist. She has gathered thousands of photos from various branches of the Anfenson / Simpson / Freel / Deaton / Purvis clans. She is continuing the process of putting them in "Creative Memory" albums. She has about 30 albums essentially complete and is working on about six more which are in various states of completion. Roger helps by preparing 4" x 6" journaling cards using Microspft Word. These serve as labels for the pictures on a given album page. Donna got a new walk-in bathtub in November. She was not able to get in or out of our "regular" bathtub.
Julia: Julia continues her job at Arby's in Midwest City . She works at this job with the assistance of a job coach from the Dale Rogers Training Center. Julia does quite a few household choirs. One of her jobs is feeding our German Shephard "Hansel" twice a day and making sure his water bowl is full.
Hansel: Hansel had a fairly bad case of arthritis. The vet recommended that he start eating a special geriatric dog food which contains Glucosamine. Now he runs around like he used to five years ago when he was a young pup.
