Route 66 Trip -- October 2004 -- CALIFORNIA

The "RKS rocks" have been in place along the mother road since the mid 1970s.
They are on flood control berm that runs along the north side of the road a few miles west of Essex.

The intersection has been drastically altered since Route 66 times due to the 210 freeway overpass over the mainline of the BNSF railroad. In fact, the intersection is not an intersection any more.
